Six years following on from its inception, Immutable Video games’ inaugural TCG Gods Unchained is bringing again participant tournaments, a relic from the sport’s early days. The primary one, referred to as Flashback: Genesis, is a bracketed event utilizing the lately launched Codecs sport modes. It can run on Gods Unchained’s event platform GU Stakes between Thirteenth-Fifteenth September.

Chosen on a primary come-first serve foundation, individuals are restricted to solely 256, who will compete in eight best-of-3 single elimination rounds. The event options rewards like uncommon playing cards – notably, the one-of-a-kind collectors card Alborax Mythic Variant, along with a complete prize pool of 5,000 GODS tokens, value round $500.

Card units allowed embody Genesis, Etherbots, Core, and Welcome.  

“We’re actually excited to revive participant tournaments and use Flashback to kickstart the following period of aggressive play in Gods Unchained. This event will take us again to the early days of the sport, with a pair new quirks as a result of means GU has developed alongside the way in which – like Core Set Refresh & God Powers, commented Gods Unchained sport designer Bryn Welch. 

“This isn’t the only tournament we have planned, but for the first of a new era, we couldn’t think of anything more fitting than taking it back to where it all began”, he added.

  • Ends at 10 pm EST on Fifteenth September 
  • Registration opens 4th September at 9 am EST, and closes Thirteenth September at 9:59 am EST
