CIP-1694, an official “Cardano Improvement Proposal,” describes the brand new group governance construction and establishes three user-led governance our bodies: the Constitutional Committee, Delegate Representatives (dReps), and Stake Pool Operators (SPOs). Transferring ahead, Cardano’s three founding entities—the Cardano Basis, Enter Output International (IOHK) and Emurgo—will not have the keys to set off chain upgrades or “hard forks.” As an alternative, that duty can be delegated to the brand new governance teams.
