Sony and Startale Labs form new blockchain company to create “killer web3 use cases”

Sony Community Communications and Singaporean web3 tech firm Startale Labs have introduced plans to develop a brand new blockchain.  

The businesses will begin a brand new three way partnership to create a brand new blockchain for high-end use instances that may push international adoption of web3 know-how.

With integration into Sony’s present providers together with video games, music, footage, and extra, the brand new firm will goal so as to add worth that spans over a number of enterprise areas.

President and consultant director of Sony Community Communications Jun Watanabe commented, “By combining Sony Network Communications’ experience in communication, IoT, AI, and solution services with Startale Labs’ insights and technical prowess in Web3, we aspire to create a global infrastructure that underpins the Web3 era, driving innovation across existing industries.”

In a earlier announcement in June 2023, Startale Labs and Sony Community Communications revealed their joint plans to broaden web3 infrastructure by forming a capital alliance. Along with Startale Labs elevating $3.5 million from Sony Community in a seed funding spherical, the 2 firms appointed Jun Watanabe as a director of Startale Labs.

“We are looking forward to collaborating more deeply. This joint venture is founded on the synergy of our respective assets and knowledge, aimed at co-developing leading blockchain and its ecosystem. We are determined to discern web3 trends and drive them globally,” added CEO of Startale Labs, Sota Watanabe.
