Aptos Labs CEO Mo Shaikh Quits; Avery Ching to Take His Place

Mo Shaikh, co-founder of Aptos Labs, introduced that he is stepping down as CEO of the corporate.

Aptos is a layer-1 blockchain that claims to supply enhanced scalability, safety and transaction speeds. The platform leverages a novel blockchain programming language known as Move, which was initially created for Fb’s shuttered “Diem” challenge.

In a prolonged publish on X, Shaikh, who co-founded Aptos with Avery Ching three years in the past, expressed pleasure within the progress made by the corporate, which included elevating a mammoth $400 million in enterprise capital funding and constructing “one of the most robust ecosystems, trusted by over a thousand builders and innovators around the globe.”

Ching, Shaikh mentioned, will assume the function of CEO and lead the corporate into its subsequent section of development.

In his X publish, Shaikh acknowledged the work of Aptos’ companions and traders, together with corporations like BlackRock, Google, Mastercard and PayPal.

Shaikh mentioned he’ll stay with the corporate as a strategic adviser and plans to take time to replicate on the way forward for blockchain and monetary techniques. “I will always remain a champion of Aptos and its mission,” he wrote, including that he’ll “look forward to continuing to help Aptos maintain its role as the world’s leading blockchain.”
